If you like to have a beer occasionally, leave your money at home if you are going to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your evening bag, your wallet, and leave all cash, credit cards and cheques back at the hotel. Take whatever money you expect to spend on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to lose and keep the rest behind.
Pessimistic? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You can have a profit following a drunken evening out with your comrades and be blessed enough to catch a long roll at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that account because it is as brief as it gets if you continually consume alcohol and bet. The pair simply don’t mix.
Leaving your cash back at the hotel might be a tiny bit dramatic, but preventative actions for excessive behavior is compulsory. If you bet to succeed, then do not consume alcohol and gamble. If you like to blow your $$$$ without a concern, then consume all the complimentary alcohol your stomach can handle, but do not carry credit cards and checkbooks to toss into the mix of chasing squanderings after your inebriated self squanders all the cash!
Permit me to carry this a single step more. Don’t drink and then head on to the internet to gamble in your preferred internet casino either. I enjoy a cocktail from the coziness of my home, however seeing that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit at my fingertips, I can’t drink alcohol and gamble.
What’s the reason? Although I do not drink to excess, when I drink alcohol, it is certainly sufficient to befuddle my better judgment. I gamble, so I do not drink when gambling. If you are a drinker, do not gamble at the same time. Both make for a dangerous, and costly, drink.
